Our schools are supposed to teach kids the basics — reading, writing, math, and science — and prepare them for the future. But too many schools have lost focus. Test scores are falling, teachers are overwhelmed, and politics have crept into the classroom. That needs to change.

I’ll fight to get our schools back to the basics and make sure every child has the tools to succeed — whether that means learning a trade, going to college, or starting a business.

In Congress, I’ll back a Parents’ Bill of Rights, so moms and dads always have a say in what their kids are being taught. Parents should be partners in education, not kept in the dark.
